The KX003 is the next generation tri-axis accelerometer that provides an unprecedented value. Offering the performance of many higher cost accelerometers in a small, low-cost package, the KX003 provides up to 14-bit resolution and selectable g-ranges (±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g) to enable sensitivities to be tailored to the task at hand. It consumes < 2µA at its lowest power setting and offers sampling rates from 1 – 1600 Hz. It offers lower noise performance, exceptional shock resiliency, stable performance over temperature, and better timing accuracy than the previous generation. KX003 also virtually eliminates offset and sensitivity shifts from reflow. A built-in high-resolution motion detection engine with resolution down to 3.9mg provides the ability to monitor devices for even the slightest motion and send an interrupt when it exceeds the configurable threshold. It is targeted for applications that require motion awareness but are highly cost-sensitive, such as remote controls, toys, beacons, laptops, accessories and more. Provided in a small 2mm x 2mm x 0.9mm LGA package, the pinout is compatible with other suppliers, enabling easy evaluation and dual-sourcing options.

IoT Evaluation and Development Kit Cart Kionix's IoT evaluation kit utilizes hardware platform based on Nordic Semiconductor's Bluetooth LE SoC. The compact (27/32mm x 4.2mm), highly integrated modular sensor system integrates Kionix's accelerometer (KX122-1037), combo accel-mag (KMX62-1031), and combo accel-gyro (KXG07) sensors along with ROHM's barometric pressure sensor (BM1383AGLV). Additional sensors can be evaluated using the add-on board that can fit inside the kit. This enables measurement of 3D acceleration, 3D magnetism, 3D rotation, air pressure, and temperature, making it ideal for training, prototyping, and initial set development of IoT and wearable applications.
